Firehawk Aerospace is a propulsion-focused aerospace and defense company based in the Dallas, TX area. Firehawk is seeking an aerospace fluid technician, whose primary responsibilities would include taking part in test operations, general fabrication, and troubleshooting of components.
Responsibilities
- Assemble, install, and test fluid hardware
- Hands-on operations with both large and small fragile assemblies
- Perform work according to procedures, specifications, and test instructions
- Perform other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment
- Fabrication, installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of valves and general fluid systems
- Work with pressurized systems
- Take part in hazardous testing operations
- Perform system-level troubleshooting and maintenance of test stand equipment and hardware
- Offsite work with roughly 25% travel
Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate
- 1+ years experience with hands-on work in the aerospace or related field
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs unassisted
- Must be able to stand for extended periods
- Ability to operate heavy machinery
- Ability to read and interpret fluid schematics (P&ID)
- Basic understanding of the operation of sensor types used to measure temperature, pressure, flow, and displacement
- Experience routing, bending, and flaring tubing
- Ability to follow detailed procedures and well document work performed
- Strong work ethic and ability to thrive in a fast-paced R&D environment
- Self-motivated with strong organizational, written, and oral communication skills
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships
Preferred Qualifications
- 4+ years experience with hands on work in the aerospace or related field
- Experience designing, building, or testing fluid systems
- Experience building/cleaning/rebuilding valves and other fluid components
- Experience cleaning components for oxidizer systems
- Proficient in the use of Visio
- Commercial drivers license
- Active or Previous Security Clearance
- Experience with sensor selection and installation
- General electrical knowledge
