| Firehawk Aerospace, a propulsion-focused aerospace and defense company based in the DFW area, is rapidly growing and is seeking an Accounting Manager. The right candidate will take ownership of the daily operations of Firehawk’s accounting department. This individual will be working closely with the CFO. The role will be ever changing and will require the candidate to be flexible and open-minded, while being detail oriented and capable of helping create account processes for a fast-growing company. Responsibilities - Develop and implement GAAP compliant accounting procedures and processes to enhance the productivity, efficiency and workflow of the accounting department
- Manage month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities
- Preparation and presentation of accurate, relevant and timely financial reporting packages for executive team and Board of Directors
- Work directly with CFO to forecast revenues and expenses for the business
- Stay informed on bookkeeping, tax filing, HR standards and other related government regulations and developing and documenting policies and procedures
- Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable functions and maintaining records of vendor relations and statuses
- Compute and process monthly accruals and all transactions related to the general ledger
- Provide occasional analysis in support of investment activities and special projects
- Ensure timely and accurate account reconciliations of all bank and credit card accounts
- Manage the integration, configuration, and administration of any new Accounting systems
